Simone Ricci joins North Sails with a clear mission: to elevate the Optimist class through innovation, collaboration, and a deep commitment to youth sailing. With over 15 years of coaching experience and a track record of developing world champions, Ricci is poised to lead North’s Optimist program into an exciting new chapter.

As Optimist Class Leader, Simone will work closely with North Sails to develop high-performance sails tailored to the evolving needs of young sailors. His approach emphasizes not only technical excellence but also mentorship and community. 

The new sails are already taking medals around the World and everyone is really excited for the performance showed up in many important events like Garda Meeting, National qualifiers and National Championship! 

North Sails Clinics kicked off and we will keep organizing regularly! 
Clinics are very important moments to test the sails, to go deep in tuning the sails together with updated Optimist techniques and to meet strong sailors from all over the World.
